NATURAL RESOURCES OF PAKISTAN

Pakistan is rich in natural resources of oil, natural gas, coal, uranium iron, copper. The Khewra Salt Mine is the second largest reserve of common salt in the world. We have an estimated 885.3 billion cubic meters reserves of natural gas. And about 175 billion tons of coal reserves.

Pakistan has considerable huge amount of natural reserves of gold, silver, gypsum, limestone, sulphur, marble and gemstones.

The extremely warm climate is among another specialties of Pakistan. This gives us a solar energy resource of 2.9 million MW a year!

AGRICULTURE IN PAKISTAN

Pakistan is regarded as one of the largest agricultural country of Asia. 57% of our land is used for cultivation. The largest land irrigation system of Pakistan is also among the known specialties of Pakistan .  We are the 5th largest Mango producing country of the world. We grow nearly 6- 8 million tons rice every year. (4th largest in the world) and 4th largest producer of the cotton as well.
